When Is Your Birthday?

If you are reading this blog and you know me and I know you, please leave a comment and tell me when your birthday is- I might just wish you a happy birthday. If not- know that I am thinking about you. I have a perpetual calendar that I write important dates on and I like to see when people's birthdays are. I have some friends from college who I no longer am in touch with on the calendar and I like to remember them and the good times we had together. So- come on- leave a comment and let me know- THANKS! Oh and in case you want to know my birthday- it is November 6th- it is coming up so mark your calendars :)

Anna Update

This is a video of Anna crawling today. It is great because if you ask her to come she will crawl to you.

Here are a couple of other pictures so her grandparents can be sure to get an Anna Grace smile.

A Vehicle with Personality

These pictures were taken just after we bought it in May 2005. That is Kaley sitting in the back.

We bought our Jeep Cherokee almost four years ago. It was great because we wrote a check for the whole amount and drove off the lot with a car with air conditioner. Our previous car (Jed's parent's old family car) didn't have any air conditioning and we were living in Orlando, FL. Jed and I could handle the heat but we felt bad for our little baby so that led us to our 1993 Jeep. It had about 84,000 miles on it- not bad for a car that was 10 plus years old. We tried to name it Jeeves but it didn't stick. As this car has gotten older we have gotten to know it better and it definitely has a few quirks, personality traits you may say.

1. We ripped the lining off the inside of the car because it was sagging down- especially on the passenger side. So it is a little bare/exposed on the inside.

2. When it rains- water puddles on the driver's side floor and then gradually flows behind the chair to the back.

3. Some of the power locks work- just not on the driver's side and sometimes not the hatch. So that just leaves the passenger side door working because it is a two-door car.

4. The power window on the passenger side can only be controlled by the driver's side control.

5. You can't open the driver's side door from the inside unless you roll down the window and open it from the outside.

6. It has no heating (a true native Floridian) which wasn't a problem in Florida but is now since we live in Maryland.

7. The center console- serves as an armrest but it has a crack in it and some of the stuffing comes out when you lean on it too hard.

Now don't get the wrong idea- I love our Jeep. It has been good to us. I love that I don't care if Kaley spills something in it or if it gets scratched or about keeping it really clean. But I would be lying if I were to say we don't dream about something that has A/C and heat and gets more than 17 miles to the gallon.

These pictures were taken today- September 2008 with Kaley and Anna in the back.
